Ericson 30+, 1983 "Arien"

Arien is our 1983 model Ericson 30 +, tall rig sail boat.

"Arien" is from Tolkien's Mythology, she was the handmaid of the Sun who's job was to escort the Sun across the sky. And so she escorts us across the water on sunny and cloudy days alike.

The Ericson 30+ (tall rig) has a taller mast and deeper keel than the Shole keel model of the
Ericson 30.

Arien is based out of Newport Oregon and enjoys coastal cruzing as well as more sheltered waters as she is good in light wind. Over the Last five summers we have visited Berekly Sound, lots of time in and around the San Juans, up and down the Straight of Juan de Fuca as well as much of the Puget Sound.

Ericson sailboats are great in coastal waters and manage wind and chop from aft we well as beating ahead.
